“Private” ft. Devvy Dior
This song is super fresh. So many new vibes with this banger. Right away I can hear this song being played on runways, playing in the clubs, in the hottest clothing stores, all over! It’s crazy because Jacobi’s style is definitely not mainstream, so for him to create a hit that can be played essentially anywhere for any mood is extremely dope. I can’t help but groove to this track! It really makes me just want to head to an island, pour a few drinks, and dance on the beach till the sun goes down. Really just embrace my youth. Can’t forget to mention how Devvy Dior’s smooth vocals just bring you to a whole other dimension, really making this a vacation you guys need to listen to!
This song is a mix of a few genres leaving you with a new type of sound. So different than anyone else, to me this song sounds like a mix of some techno, hip-hop with a hint of tropical vibes in the back. You can’t help but to bob your head. But then, later on in the track the beat switches up and ends off beautifully. The beat slows down and Devvy Dior comes in and soothes my ears with his soft/just the right amount of sensuality vocal work that just calms you down. You can really hear Jacobi’s Kanye influence in this as well as his other tracks, but at the same time he one-upped the Kanye vibe to make it his own.
“Pressure, Pt. 1” ft. Dijah Sb
I’m honestly feeling this track on a spiritual level. I’m on my 5th replay lol. Let’s just start with the audio snippet in the beginning of the song. That man is speaking nothing but facts. This is that go-getter track. Jacobi’s on a mission that he brings us along as he rides this beat leveling up with every bar. We really get to know Jacobi a little more in this track as he expresses the challenges on being different and the pressure he feels from those watching. If you thought that was it, in comes Dijah Sb with one of the smoothest flows I’ve ever heard just pairing perfectly with Jacobi creating this hard hitting hustla anthem.
“H&E” ft. Jay Isaiah
Immediately I was transported to outer space. Again, super different sounding beat that really got me thinking this came straight out of Stranger Things. If you like to get high asf and listen to trippy tracks, this is the song for you. Once again he hits us with the beat switch up which turns the beat into a mellowed down version of the first part of the track and Jay Isaiah comes in and blesses us with the trippy vocals to go along with the futuristic vibes. Love the chill feel of this song, it almost feels like you’re moving slow motion. I feel like mixing Henny and the motions after listening to this track (you’ll get that reference after listening to this song haha.)
Make sure you check out all of Jacobi IV's amazing work on his soundcloud!
