Our Hair Types and Products
Hair Type: 3c/4a/4b/4c
The first picture showcases my 3c type curls which are predominately located on the top of my head. This section of my head grows the longest and fastest because it is a looser curl which results in less tangles allowing the hair strand to just grow without much interruption.

The bottom and sides of my head ranges from 4a-4c type of coils as seen in the second photo. It's a complete party.
Products
I usually use this Cantu Shea Butter Cleansing Shampoo twice a month or when my hair is just plain dutty lol. Although this shampoo is sulfate-free and all that good stuff, due to my specific hair types my hair NEEDS moisture and shampooing often would just strip all that moisture.
On the days that I'm not shampooing I reach for my Aunt Jackie's Purify Me Co-wash! Ingredients such as Apple Cider Vinegar allow my hair to be cleansed without stripping my natural oils. Major key.
This Aunt Jackie's Fix My Hair conditioning masque is everything. I would usually use a standard conditioner from Cantu or something but my hair cries for moisture so I decided to just use this masque as my main conditioner and see how it goes. So far it's been amazing, the slip I get from this product and the softness that is my hair just makes it one of those staple products. Definitely a top conditioner for me before I commit to a serious protective style like braids.
The Aunt Jackie's Quench Leave-In Conditioner is my conditioner on the go. By now you should know that Type 4 hair craves moisture the most and having my hair out and about sucks the moisture out of my hair completely. This allows me to put my hair in a bun (which it's always in) and still moisture it with some natural goodness such as shea butter and olive oil. I also reach for this product before I do a protective style.
Lastly, is the New Eco Style Gel with Coconut Oil. I've never been super crazy about "defining" my curls because 1. Who has time for that...especially being a Type 4 girl, and 2. I don't like to be defined lol. In our hair community, there is a lot of type biases and for me personally the media does the most poo job in showcasing the actual magic of Type 4 hair! Only recently at a fashion show did this beautiful Queen introduce this gel to me and woah did my coils pop. I started to use this in some of my twist outs and braid outs and loved the moisture and non-sticky hold that it gave me. I've used other styling gels, but this had the least ingredients compared to others so "less is more" won in this case.

HAIR TYPE: 3B/3C/4A
Here is what my 2 textures look like. They are a bit damp here and curl up more when they dry, but you get the jist! My 3B/C hair is moreso on the bottom, sides, and front of my head. My 4A texture makes up the middle/crown area of my head.
Products
I shampoo my hair with the Live Clean Freshwater Hydrating Shampoo. I love this brand for shampoos because they are sulfate and paraben free, and so cheap and accessible. I shampoo once a week and it does a really nice job of clarifying my scalp. It also doesn't leave my hair feeling dry and brittle.

Next is conditioning and detangling. I love using Aussie Mega Moist Conditioner when I do this because it really hydrates my hair and has a ton of slip which makes detangling a lot easier. I rarely have to deep condition because my hair loves this stuff. I leave it on for around 15 minutes and my hair is nice and hydrated.
I grab a pretty good amount of the Cantu Coconut Curling Cream. I use this product, or the Cantu Moisturizing Curl Activator Cream depending on what I grab at the time. I love these products because they bring a ton of moisture back into my hair and keeps it moisturized for a good few days. I apply this after I've washed out the conditioner and my hair feels like butter!
So right after I apply the Cantu to the section of hair, I take the Eco Styler Professional Styling Gel with Argan Oil and apply that on top. I love using this on top of the Cantu because it locks in the moisture and gives my hair amazing definition. And that's it, just 4 products! I like to keep it simple because ain't nobody got time for that.
